O Sacred Heart of Jesus, we entrust to you our own family and the whole human family. Show us, Lord, the treasures of love, goodness and mercy in your heart so we may be truly loving, good and merciful.
We now listen to God’s Word.
As the eyes of servants
look to the hand of their master,
as the eyes of a maid
to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes look to the Lord our God,
until he has mercy upon us.
(pause for a moment of silent reflection)
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, full of compassion and love, have mercy on us. May all families learn forgiveness and mercy as they look to you.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, we place all our trust in you.
