In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
O my Jesus, I place my trust in you.
Let us listen to God’s Word.
You are the light of the world. … No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house … let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
(pause for a moment of silent reflection)
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, full of compassion and love, have mercy on us when we do not let our light shine for others.
We now ask for the grace to be lights that shine so others can know your goodness, Lord.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, we place all our trust in you.
